Please can I have further info on the subjects for discussion. I wish to know if they will be of use to the schools I visit, prior to allocating the time to attend the forum.

  2. Gerard Strong Says:

Would this meeting be of use if a decision has already been made about the provider of the learning platform.

  3. Andrew Ferrier Says:

The session will be provide the opportunity for network managers to examine a couple examples of Virtual Learning Platforms as well as hearing more about its impact on Schools. Sue Wood at Coopers Technology College has been involved in the set up adn delivery of Coopers MS Learning Gateway for a number of years (apart from Kemnal and St Olaves, this is the only school I know of in Bromley who have been in the vanguard of delivering personlised learning through the VLE).

If other schools are using other VLE systems, we certainly would welcome hearing more about them.

The eventual set up and delivery of VLE’s will have a major impact on schools, in costs and especially in time and training that will affect everyone involved. We need to start having a dialog about this issue and the Network manager’s forum is the best place IMHO to start.
