On the 9th of May, the school community at Biggin Hill Junior celebrated the launch of the school’s new Virtual Learning Environment with the issue of family logins and passwords.

This celebration was the culmination of twelve months hard work put in by Year 6 Coordinator, Stephanie Edwards and the schools ICT Technician Linda Brown, who both worked tirelessly to design the structure, set up the content and lead the training of all the staff at Biggin Hill Junior.

The VLE is now a vital part of the school’s curriculum delivery with all members of staff fully trained in its use. Students access their homework along with pursuing any project activities related to their curriculum program. Parents are also using the VLE to keep up with school news as well as using it to better understand the curriculum program and support their children.

The students and families at Biggin Hill now have a dynamic engaging school intranet that is available for all members anytime, anywhere which is in keeping with the original vision that head teacher, Martin Pullen set out twelve months ago.

Congratulations to all involved!
