Wireless Networks and Safety in schools

No doubt you are aware of the current issues regarding wireless networks and health risks which has been raised in the media last week. Panorama (BBC1 ) will be running a program on this tonight.

The HPA have issued a statement saying that the comments attributed to Sir William Stewart in the Independent on Sunday (22/4/2007) are not his.

    would be interested to know others’ decisions on this one. we have erred on the side of caution and opted to hard wire our new equipment rather than go for the wireless routers

    This is a rather thorny issue for schools at the moment. It is one that requires more research and in the light of what we know already I can understand the reluctance on many school communities to whole heartedly take on WIFI connection.
